STEPHEN'S OBITUARY
U.S. Veteran
Stephen James Curtis, age 64 passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022. Stephen was born in Franklin, Indiana on August 30, 1957. Stephen was a veteran of the United States Army and during his time in the Army he received the National Defense Service Medal, Marksman.
Stephen was a truck driver for the Agriculture Citrus Industry. He came to the area in 1979 and stayed. He enjoyed coin collecting, and riding motorcycles. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his daughter, Christina Nicole Norton of Franklin, Indiana. Also, his sisters Kimberly Angela Powell of Punta Gorda, Florida, Elizabeth Ann Stone of Deltona, Florida, and Sherry Louetta Chester of Indianapolis, Indiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents Iler James Curtis and Barbara Dean Futrell Curtis.
There will be a visitation on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 10:00AM – 11:00AM in the Chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Homes, Arcadia. The service will begin at 11:00AM and interment will follow at Royal Palm Memorial Garden, Punta Gorda, Florida.
