Roy E. Zimmerman Jr.'s Obituary
Roy E. Zimmerman, Jr. of Punta Gorda passed away Friday, Sept. 5, 2014. He was born May 2, 1925 in Bloomsburg, PA, the son of Beulah and Roy Zimmerman, Sr. Roy served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He had been a resident of Punta Gorda since 1961, and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic church. Roy enjoyed camping and fishing. He also loved watching football including Pop Warner and the Charlotte High Tarpons. Roy loved doing activities with his family, especially having get-togethers with them.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Fran; sons, Alan (Trista), and Michael (Kathy); daughters, Cherylann (Carl), and Teri (Tom); 19 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Roy was preceded in death by his son, Roy III.
The family requests memorials go to the CHS Tarpon Scholarship Fund.
