Robert V. Taylor's Obituary
Robert "Bob" V. Taylor; architect, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 19, 2018, holding the hand of his beloved wife of 57 years. He was born January 26, 1932 in Punta Gorda, Florida to William and Cora (Rye) Taylor. Bob was a Veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean War and proud graduate of the University of Florida in Architecture. On October 28, 1961, he married the love of his life, Carol Scowden Taylor. Together, they had three sons. He was an avid sportsman; including hunter, diver, fisherman, golfer, tennis player and pickle baller. Bob was a City Councilman of Punta Gorda from 1975 - 1982 and respected Construction Project Manager at Edison College. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol; sons, Scott (Janet) in Signal Mt, TN, Ty (Caroline) in Newport Bch, CA, and Tim (Gayle) in Boca Raton, FL; and grandchildren Mallory (David), Zachary, Casey, Jake, Nicole, Dylan and Kylie. He touched everyone whom he came in contact with and left an indelible mark on all our lives & the community in which he served. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Peace River Wildlife Center.
