Robert F. Horton's Obituary
Robert F. Horton, 62, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015.
He was born Jan. 27, 1953, in Grayson, KY., the son of Billie Lou Downey.
Robert graduated in 1971, from Charlotte High School and played football and baseball. He was an active supporter of Charlotte High wrestling, softball and football teams, especially when his children played. Robert was a member of First United Methodist Church, Punta Gorda. He will be remembered as a sacrificial person, loving husband, father and grandfather.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 42 years, Lynne; daughter, Alice Horton; sons Robert (Tina) Horton Jr., Brad (Brandi) Horton and Ross Horton; brother, Charles Wayne Horton; and grandchildren, Nick, Ethan, Abby and Sydney. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Cyndee Horton Bennett; and aunt, Bobbie Damron.
A memorial service to celebrate Robert's life will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at First United Methodist Church, Punta Gorda.
