Richard Nottingham, a long life resident of Punta Gorda, 57 passed away Friday 13th, 2022.
Born January 6th, 1965 in Punta Gorda, FL to John and Betty Nottingham.
Richard worked in the stucco business and tree trimming. He loved to fish and ride his bicycle everywhere he went. After his accident in 2004, he rode his wheelchair around his neighborhood and visited all his friendly neighbors. Nothing could hold him down, he was a very loving man.
He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Nottingham and his nephew Kevin Nottingham.
Richard is survived by his father John (Frances) Nottingham of Punta Gorda, Fl; three sisters, Deborah Lamb, Linda (Jim) Mashburn and Katie (JJ) Alonzo; two brothers John Jr. and Michael (Macarah) Nottingham; one step-sister Tonya (Trevor) Baker; two step-brothers Homer and Allen Russell. Richard also leaves behind his life long partner Pamela Smiley and her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and lots of dear friends.
A visitation for Richard will be held Monday, May 23, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 635 E. Marion Ave, Punta Gorda, Florida 33950. A funeral service will occur Monday, May 23, 2022 at 1:00 PM, 635 E. Marion Ave, Punta Gorda, Florida 33950. A committal service will occur Monday, May 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, 27200 Jones Loop Rd, Punta Gorda, Florida 33982.
