Reba Shelby's Obituary
Reba (nee Rayburn) Shelby entered heaven's gates Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016.
She was born June 19, 1923, in Columbia, Tenn.
A Consummate mother, a homemaker and a Registered Nurse, Reba loved football, reading, crossword puzzles and cross-stitch. She had an unwavering faith in God and was a member of the Lemon Bay Church of Christ. She was also a proud veteran of World War II, serving as a U.S. Navy nurse.
Reba is survived by her daughter, Lewanna S. (Joseph L. ) Caruso; as well as her grandchildren, Nicole C. Tipton, Bryan John (Cori) Shelby Giusti, and Terri Lea (Brian) Vagi; and great-granddaughters, Hannah Daisy Vagi and Sabrina Holly Vagi. Reba was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William Paul Shelby; son, John Rayburn Shelby; parents, Jesse Joseph Rayburn and Elise (nee Sparkman) Rayburn; and sister, Euphence (nee Rayburn) Dean.
