Myrtle M. Sparks' Obituary
Myrtle M. Sparks, 93, of Punta Gorda, FL, passed away Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018, at the Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte.
She was born Sept. 1, 1924, in Pickaway County, Ohio, to Lula and Arthur Young.
Myrtle was a homemaker and worked the assembly line for General Motors in Columbus, Ohio, before moving to Florida with her husband Walter Sparks. They enjoyed fishing, making seashell creations and spending time with their grandchildren. Her greatest love was volunteering for Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by two children, Barbara Siemer of Punta Gorda, Florida, and Donald Blythe of Columbus, Ohio; three brothers, Kenneth, Raymond and John Young; eight grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Angela, Jennifer, Janet, David, Rodney and Rhonda; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, Walter; and son, Roger Blythe.
Arrangements are by Kays Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home and by Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, Punta Gorda, Florida.
