John E. Palmer 's Obituary
John E. "Jack" Palmer, 73, passed away Monday, Nov. 7, 2016.
He was born in Pontiac, Michigan, on March 31, 1943, the son of Bert and Mary Palmer.
Jack has been a resident of Punta Gorda, Florida, since 1960. He graduated from Charlotte High in 1961. Jack served proudly in the United States Navy and a tour in Vietnam. After serving in the Navy Jack returned to Punta Gorda and worked in Pops Barber Shop and Laurie's Barber Shop. Jack retired from the Punta Gorda post office after 30 years of service due to his health.
Jack will be greatly missed by his wife of 50 years, Ruth; a son, Mike of Port Charlotte, Florida; a daughter, Mary Jo (Jeff) Farrar of Wilton, Connecticut; and grandsons, Cameron and Ryan Farrar of Wilton, Connecticut. He was preceded in death by his parents.
