Jean Peters' Obituary
Jean (nee Gray) Peters, 86, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Bayfront Health in Punta Gorda, FL. She was born February 15, 1928 in London, England. Jean traveled to Venezuela, South America in 1950, to work for Shell Oil Company. She met her future husband Albert N. Peters on a blind date in Caracas, Venezuela. They were married Sept. 21, 1952 and lived in Venezuela until their retirement to Punta Gorda in 1975. In retirement, Jean enjoyed playing bridge; squre-dancing and traveling.
She is survived by her loving family, including her husband of 62 years, Albert; sons, Gregory (Monique) of Port Charlotte, FL, and Mark (Susan) of Punta Gorda; grandchildren, Scott and Jennifer Peters, and Trisha (Erik); and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Frederic and Millie Gray, Jean was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Peters, in 1999.
