Grace Rose DiLena's Obituary
Grace Rose DiLena, 93, departed from this life on October 1st, 2017. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 11, 1924 to Le Roy and Rose DeVeau. She moved to Port Charlotte from Long Island, New York in 1973 with her husband Domenicki.
Grace was a much loved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. Everyone who knew her saw her as a woman full of life and love. She was gentle, kind, and most of all devoted to serving the Lord. Grace along with her husband Dom prepared monthly communion, sang in the choir and was active in serving on the prayer chain. They sang duets together and gave praise to the Lord for over 60 years.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband Domenicki and sister Doris Ostertag. She is survived by her son Michael (Ruthann) DiLena of Mount Sinai Long Island, New York, Richard (Esther) DiLena of Port Charlotte, Florida and George (Teresa) DiLena of Port Charlotte, Florida; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5th, 2017 from 10am to 11am at Community Life Center, 19048 Edgewater Drive, Port Charlotte, Florida. The service will follow. Pastor Mark Coffey will be officiating the service. Interment will be at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in Punta Gorda, FL.
