I was shocked and so sorry to get word of Fred's death. As long time members of the SW Retirees Club, Fred and i shared many memories and good times together at our Board meetings and Annual Luncheons. When I last saw Fred at the luncheon in January of this year, he seemed in good spirits and said he was doing well physically, but I did notice he appeared tired and did say he was having to give up driving. Fred and I shared birthdays in April and always joked that he was older than I since he was born on the 24th and I on the 25th in 1921. I have tried to call Kathy several times but without success so I'm sending this message to the family in this manner. I am praying for the Lord to comfort you and give you His peace at this time. We will never forget Fred and will miss him but I know he is now in a better place and reunited with his Peggy.
I am sorry I am unable to come down from Jacksonville for his services due to a conflict and the distance to Port Charlotte, but I will be with you all in spirit. God Bless You All!
