Eugene Kenneth Coy's Obituary
Eugene Kenneth Coy, 86, peacefully passed away on February 21, 2017 surrounded by his family.
Gene was born January 26, 1931, in Royal Oak, Michigan to Howard and Ann Coy.
He married the love of his life Patricia J. Morris in March of 1949, they celebrated 68 years of marriage.
Gene graduated from Durand High School in 1949, as class president. He was a dedicated Elf Khurafeh Shriner, he was a member of the Masonic North Newburg lodge 161. Past President of the Peace River Palm Shores social club, past President Charlotte County Parliamentary unit, Past President of Florida National Association of Parliamentarians, retired Professional Registered Parliamentarian.
Gene is survived by his wife Patricia, 6 children Charles Coy, Charlotte Coy Eklund, Howard Coy, Kenneth Coy, Elizabeth Coy Lacy, Margaret Coy Rau, 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to be made to Shriners Children Hospital and to Tidewell Hospice of Charlotte County, in our dad's name.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial celebration of Gene's life will be held at a later date for the family. Inurnment will be private at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in Punta Gorda, FL.
