Edward M. Rossi, Jr.'s Obituary
Edward M. Rossi Jr., 59, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away April 13, 2016, in Port Charlotte.
He was born Feb. 18, 1957, in Jermyn, Pa., to Edward and Elizabeth Rossi.
Ed graduated from Lakeland High School in 1975, and then received extensive training as an electrician at Newport News Ship Building Plant in Virginia. Shortly thereafter, Ed started a very successful electrical contracting business in northeastern Pennsylvania known as Dunmore Electric.
He relocated to western Florida, where he owned and operated a successful electrical maintenance company in Port Charlotte. Ed later expanded his business by creating Charlotte County Generators, where he was recognized as one of Florida's top Generac emergency generator installation experts. Ed loved to fish and travel, especially by cruise liner, where he made many memories with his wife, Olga.
Ed is survived by a daughter, Kristen (Josh) Plocinski, stationed in Japan; a son, Edward (Karen) Rossi III of Grove City, OH; a stepson, Anthony Perrone of Port Charlotte; a stepdaughter, Dana Perrone of Gainsville, Fla.; a brother, Wayne (Patti) Rossi of Dover, Del.; a sister, Darlene (Carl) Fron of Montdale, Pa.; parents, Edward Sr. and Betty Rossi of Mayfield, Pa.; and three grandchildren, Gavin Rossi, Coltin Rossi and Grayson Plocinski. He is preceded in death by his wife, Olga, after 14 wonderful years of marriage.
