Betty A. McDonald's Obituary
Betty A. McDonald, 82, of Burnt Store Isles, Punta Gorda, Florida, formerly of Laurel, Maryland, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017.
She grew up in a small mining town in Fonde, Kentucky, and graduated from Middleboro High School. She was also a graduate of the University of Kentucky. She went on to work for the Department of the Interior and the USDA for many years. She retired in 1994 and moved to Punta Gorda, and later became a member of the Episcopal church of the Good Shepherd in Punta Gorda.
She is survived by her two sons, Mark of Laurel Maryland and Eric of Punta Gorda. She also has two sisters June and Jean of Independence, Missouri. She also had two brothers, seven sisters and her parents, Julius and Sally, who preceded her in death.
Arrangements are by Kays Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home and by Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, Punta Gorda.
