Annie V. Pitman's Obituary
Annie V. Pitman, 87, of Port Charlotte, Fla., died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at Bayfront Health of Port Charlotte.
She was born August 9, 1928, in Marianna, Fla., to Henry and Cora Lee Hill.
Annie moved to Port Charlotte in 1960. She spent many years volunteering in the community for Meals on Wheels Thrift Shop, the Port Charlotte Church of Christ Food Pantry and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She had a passion for sewing and making lap pads, diddy bags and bibs for various organizations.
She is survived by her loving family, daughter, (Patricia A. (Charles Hurst) Anthony of Willacoochee, Ga.; son, Henry "Hank" Latstetter of Port Charlotte; sisters, Ada (Whitney) Lawson of Port Charlotte, and Magalene "Maggie" Neel of Tallahasse, Fla.; brother, Danny Ray (Linda) Hill of Tallahassee; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Pitman; her parents; brother, Vernon Hill; and sister, Marie Smith.
