Anne M. Vance 's Obituary
Anne M. Vance, 97, of Port Charlotte, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017. She was born on January 13, 1920 in Kingston, Ontario, Canada to Robert and Mary Miller. Throughout her life she lived in New York, Ohio and Florida. She was a tireless worker, including working the assembly line at Trio Plastics, a bakery and in the culinary field. Upon moving to Port Charlotte, she cooked at Vera's Restaurant, Punta Gorda Isles Yacht Club, Burnt Store Country Club, and then for the Al Johns Family. Her favorite job title was homemaker and mother to her eight children, who will forever remember her beautiful smile and endless love for them. She was a fabulous cook that also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, whistling while she worked, and being with friends and family. If she called you a friend, then you were truly blessed.
In February 1937, she married Harold A. Vance in Adams, New York. She was predeceased by her husband, sons Robert H. Vance and Thomas F. Vance, her seven sisters and two grandsons. She is survived by four sons: Richard V. Vance of Parrish, FL; James L. Vance of Durhamville, NY; Leon C. (Kathy) Vance of Port Charlotte, FL; Theodore G. Vance of Westlake, OH. She is also survived by two daughters: Michelle A. (Jimmy) Savasuk of Punta Gorda, FL and Dawn C. (Robert) Morris of Arcadia, FL. In addition, she will be dearly missed by her 28 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, and 30 great-great-grandchildren.
