Angelina Argento's Obituary
Angelina "Lee" Argento, 93, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015, in Port Charlotte.
She was born March 27, 1922, in New York and raised in Manhattan, N.Y.
Angelina and her husband, Tony, moved to Bronx, N.Y., buying their first home to celebrate their 10th anniversary. Upon retiring they settled in West palm Beach, Fla., in 1981, and Port Chrlotte in 2003. They loved to go dancing and bowling. She lived at Royal Palm Retirement Centre for over eight years. She worked in the garment center of NYC for 35 years supervising a plant of 40 operators making women's sportswear. She then went to work with a Macy's designer, stating it was the highlight of her career.
She is survived by her loving family, daughter, Carole Ponzio; sister, Mary (Louis) Russo; brother, Vincent (Florence) Civitillo; grandchildren, Michael (Bruce) Ponzio, Suzanne (Jim) Graham, Elaine Ponzio and Thomas (Ilea) Ponzio; great-grandchildren, Christopher MacKenn, Cody MacKenn, Anastasia Livigni-Ponzio, and Vincensia DiNunno-Ponzio; sister-in-law, Phyllis Esposito; longtime family friend, Derald Maldonado; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by six siblings; her parents; and husband, Tony, the one and only love of her life, married for 64 years.
