John H. Weber was born Nov. 2, 1922, in Dayton, Ohio. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. John began wintering in Punta Gorda in 1979, and moved full time to this area in 1984. John was a member of St. Katherine Drexel Roman Catholic Church, and the German American Club. He enjoyed playing golf and was a big sports fan. John is survived by his children, Clare(Robert) Pytel, John(Gul Ozyegin) Weber, Elizabeth (Larry) Heil, Mary (Steve) West, and Julie (Rick) Melvin; daughter-in-law, Jo Weber; grandchildren, Kimberly, Holly, Heather, John R., Joseph D, Amanda, Catherine, Julie, Nichole, Jennifer, Matt, and Kassandra; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Joe Weber. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Weber, and son, Joe Weber.
